Impartiality

Policy:

The structure of EU CERTIFICATION PTE LTD is designed to give confidence in the impartiality of the auditing and certification processes. Procedures described below ensure impartiality is achieved in all EU CERTIFICATION PTE LTD functions.

Remuneration of all EU CERTIFICATION PTE LTD’s personnel will be divorced from the results of any audit or certification and will not be dependent upon the ‘pass or failure’ of any client.

There will be no tendency on the part of the owners of EU CERTIFICATION PTE LTD to allow commercial or other considerations to prevent EU CERTIFICATION PTE LTD from consistently providing its specified services. This Management Manual and other work instructions provide detailed information on the systems in place to ensure impartiality and independence.

Procedure:

Confidentiality Agreements

The non-executive arm of EU CERTIFICATION PTE LTD is involved in the day to day business activities of auditing and certification; those employees are subject to Confidentiality Agreements. The executive arm of EU CERTIFICATION PTE LTD is involved in the management of business and is not to be actively involved in the assessment cycle of certification; those employees are also subject to Confidentiality Agreements.


MANAGEMENT COMMITMENT

Impartiality - Section MM 1.5

The most recent Audit Report for each client sampled is to be reviewed to assess the impartiality of the audit and certification approval processes. The review may consist of a combination of hard copy and electronic files, as required.

Impartiality Risk Procedure

All auditors and staff involved in the auditing processes for the respective clients will commit to a declaration of impartiality agreement, EU 1921-05 & EU 1921-29
